The
ART INSTITUTE OF LECCE is one of the most distinguished Art School of Formation,
Specialization and Professional Update, matured by a twenty-year experience,
founded in 1982 from the need to provide the youth social matrix the necessary
tools to carry out primary interest activity which meet the local demands of
restorator, graphic advertiser, interior designer, tourist administrator, etc.
The
formative model of the Institute is "School - Laboratory" which is
oriented towards a vision of employment, based on concreteness, practicality and
direct contact with the actual job.
The professional formation courses organized by the institute are recognized by the Region of Puglia with the issuance of Qualification Certificate upon the completion of the following professions:
ART
AND RESTORATION SECTOR
The
Institute organizes as well short term courses for Wood Restorator (frames,
furniture, etc.), Papier Màche Techniques and Tromp l'Oeil and Tourism Sector
for "Director of Travel Agency and Tourism".
The
Institute has participated to programs financed by the European Social Fund for
the Professional Formation with the actuation of specific courses in the above
mentioned sectors: 1998 - 1999 “Promoter of Cultural Tourism"; 1999-2000
'Professional Publishing”, "Offset Technician and Bookbinding”, "Course
of Specialization for Restorator of Paintings and Frescoes", “Technician
for Congressional Tourism and Special Events”.
Participation
of IFTS (Instruction - Formation - Techniques - Superior) Courses of European
Social Fund (ESF): Course for Technical Specialist for Prevention, Getting Over
and Recovery of Conditions of Juvenile Discomforts and Deviations "State's
Professional Institute for Social Services – Nardò”)
The
School guarantees highly qualified teachers chosen from experts and
professionals of every sector.
Besides
the Professional Formation Courses, the School organizes seminars periodically
for Update Studies with the experts of various sectors, carries out activity on
community programs (Raffaello, Adapt, European Social Fund) and realizes in its
laboratory the intervention of conservative restoration through planning,
formation and assistance activity.
The
Institute is an E.L.I.A. (European League Institutes of Arts) member and partakes
with the principal Schools of Restoration in Italy and abroad (Spinelli Palace -
Florence, Institute of Art and Restoration - Rome, Newham College - London,
Research Metropolitan Center), Gabbitas Educational Consultants - London.
