Otherwise the Students will
appreciate its beautiful and scenic costline while learning
Italian.
Learning a new language means
becoming familiar with a new outlook and acquainting
oneself with the life and traditions of that country.
Lecce is an ideal place to do so.

THE ORGANIZATION OF THE COURSES
The school is organized at a
professional level to prepare the students to work in the relevant sector with
the expertise which can immediately be put into use.
For this reason, we divide the
courses into a theoretical and practical part. The courses are oriented
towards the practical side in the School laboratories and at external work
places, cultural trips to visit the various monuments and churches in Lecce
and in the nearby area baroque. Teaching is carried out by mother-tongue
teachers. An Italian test will be carry out before the beginning of the courses.

The lessons are held both in the Institute's laboratory and at private professional offices and workshops in the old town.
During the course, partecipants can
choose to be housed in a Residence or in a Hotel.
Accommodation in the residence will be
in appartments with room for two-three students and include kitchenette,
bathroom and utilities. The residences are located in the sea side town of San
Cataldo (12 Km from Lecce) or in Lecce.
The Residence in San Cataldo is
surrounded by greenery and has an animation service, bar, restaurant, pool and
tennis court. Near the residence there is a WWF nature reserve and a beautiful
white sand beach 3 Km long. The Residence also offers the possibility of long
boat rides in the Adriatic Sea to discover hidden beaches and the marvelous
crystal clear waters of the nearby coast.

The attendance of the Art Courses requires a medium level knowledge of Italian. The students who wish to better their level of Italian Language could attend an intensive Italian Course one month before the Art Courses begin. Our language courses togheter form a carefully articulated teaching program and are taught at two levels:
Elementary (EI) and Intermediate (II).
Each level follows its own programme which gradually leads the student to a basic knowledge of Italian grammatical structures and syntax. Particular care is taken to widen the student's correct pronunciation. This is developed through phonetic exercises under the guidance of specialist teachers.
| EI - ELEMENTARY ITALIAN COURSE: |
80 hours per month, 4 hours per day, 5 days per week. An intensive course with language in the morning and cultural events or discussion in the afternoon. |
